Derby DIY: Starting Sourdough In-Person
Join home baker and our assistant director Hannah Adamson to learn all about how to take care of your sourdough starter and prepare amazing loaves. You'll receive your own jar of starter and the basic techniques to feeding it week to week then observe the formation of the dough, how to shape and score, and best baking practices for that great crisp and fluffy texture. Sample sourdough will also be served.
Library No-Show Policy:
In the event that an adult patron cannot attend a registered event, that patron is required to provide cancellation notice via email or by phone at least 24 hours prior to the day of the event. If a cancellation notice is not given at the time of the event, that patron is considered a "no-show." If the registered patron is a no-show to three registered library events, said patron will not be permitted to register for or attend any events requiring registration for a period of six months.
